A Peek at Our New Apartment and a Glance at Summer Events

It has been a while since i have posted and i thought i would just write a little something to update what has and will be going on the next little while. Well, things have been pretty much the same. Matt and i have been working lots so we can pay bills, sometimes i wish they would just stop coming! Andy has gained another 2 pounds which puts him at 17.5 pounds. which is surprising because he doesn't finish his food hardly ever! We have greatly enjoyed living in our little 2 bedroom apartment just west of the Lincoln Downtown area, however we have decided that we would need to move to a different part of Lincoln to accommodate for both of us attending school this fall. 

My sister Summer has been a nanny back in New Jersey since September last year. Her contract is up in September this year and she was looking for more work. I told Abby the mother of the boys i nanny that Summer was looking and could be here in September if she was interested and sure enough Summer is going to be moving to Lincoln and taking over the nannying for Abby. So we found an apartment that would fit Matt and i comfortable as well as have an extra room for Summer to rent from us. Above is the floor plan. This particular apartment is the thing that helped me make the decision for sure that we could make it work with Summer renting from us. There is plenty of space, its only 1 year old, all new appliances, plus the Master Suite side of the apartment gave me a sense of privacy that all the other apartments didn't have. We will have our own bathrooms and such which is needed for us, plus our rent comes with a pool, a 24 hour gym, and cable. We will be on the first floor which gives us our own private entrance instead of having to use the security lock out doors, and our apartment is literally 5 yards from where the parking is. 

I am very excited about having a new place with all new appliances, a bigger kitchen, and a deep soaking tub, but at the same time i am going to miss our cute little place that we have now. We sure have tried to make it home and its been fun living here. I have been collecting boxes already to start packing soon. its funny that most of the boxes i have collected are diaper and wipes boxes... 

Some of the other fun things we will be doing this Summer include a week trip to Utah! The main reason for going is to attend Cassie King's wedding in the Draper Temple! She has been the greatest blessing from the mission i served and i promised her i would be there on her big day. So we are making a trip out of it! half the week with Matt's family in Midway UT the wedding on Wednesday, and the rest of the week with my family in St. George UT. We are really looking forward to coming out and spending time with family. 

We are also going to be going to London! The UNL Choir that Matt is in will be participating in a huge choir/music event in Oxford the end of August and i was invited to come along for a really discounted rate! So thanks to education i will be able to check off another thing on my bucket list! I am really looking forward to seeing with my own eyes the city with a tour guide! its going to be great! I hope to find the perfect cup of tea and a kettle to bring home with me. Then the day we get back school starts, and who knows when we will be able to take another fun trip like this till after i have my Masters Degree. 

As you all can see we have lots of stuff going on for the rest of this summer and lots to look forward to! We are really enjoying being part of the Singles Ward and look forward to a super fun BBQ tomorrow afternoon!
