Happy Valentine's Day

February 17, 2013

Well, it has been a while since i have blogged and we have had a busy couple of weeks! Matt has been working all day and way into the night on the show Candide which opens on Thursday this week. I have been working 5 days a week again as a nanny and have been enjoying nearly every minute! (minus the poopy diapers) My interview for the MFT program is on Friday and i am pretty nervous, yet I know what happens is what is meant to happen.

Valentines Day was a little different for us this year. Because Matt has had late night rehearsals all week we decided to do my gift to him last Saturday. the picture above portrays the theme of my gift to Matt, BACON!!! and a lot of it! I did a 3 course meal and each course included Bacon! I made bacon wrapped hot dogs for the appetizer, then bacon stuffed and bacon wrapped chicken breasts for the main course and dessert was chocolate covered bacon; which surprisingly was pretty tasty! I am a health nut so i only cook with turkey bacon, Matt has been so good about not complaining about it that i decided a full on meal with his favorite kind of bacon would be the best gift i could give! So... Valentines day comes and we plan to do Matt's gift to me with another yummy breakfast provided by the Bacon theme. :) above are the pictures of the star bacon event! BACON ROSES! Matt could not believe it! it was the greatest moment in bacon history! His breakfast was completed with pink heart shaped pancakes, eggs cooked in bacon grease, a tall glass of milk and of course the roses. Matt's gift to me was so thoughtful and beautiful! The dozen red long stem roses were and still are exquisite! and i must point out the Caribou Coffee cup; Matt knows i love their white hot coco almost more than life... and he went out that morning and got me a cup along with the wonderful flowers. I have to most wonderful husband in the world! He even included my favorite chocolates, a cute peanuts card and a 30 dollar gift card with a special shopping trip with his friend Pier! (last year Pier * Matt dressed as a french man* cooked and served a yummy pasta dish to Matt and i). So Pier is going to be my man servant and carry clothes and anything else i purchase at Gordmons. It should be a shopping trip to remember!

I spent my valentines evening hanging out with the Litterell boys. it was so fun to watch Wall-E and eat ice cream together. I just love those little boys like they were my own. I can't wait to have a couple of my own some day.

I decided this past week also that i was going to start doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. WOW! i have been so sore the past few days. i am on day 6 and i can finally say that i am enjoying the hurt of the work outs instead of i am hating the hurt. Its crazy how in just a few months our muscles can grow weak. I was doing this workout before Christmas fairly well and now its like i had never done it in my life! Our bodies are always in need to nourishment and exercise. I find i discover that over and over and over through my life. Maybe someday i'll remember it.

Happy Valentines everybody! I hope all my readers had as good a day as mine was!

Cheers!
