General Conference was absolutely wonderful today! Matt and I enjoyed watching it together in our home. There were so many inspiring things discussed and i was so excited to lean the news about young men being able to serve a mission at age 18 and sisters at age 19! What a wonderful turn of events to allow the work to continue in grand strides!
Many of the talks today brought memories of my Temple Sealing that happened just 4 short months ago. That was the best decision of my life and it is still proving to get better and better. It is so amazing how Heavenly Father planned how the family works. The statistics that were mentioned about single parent homes, same sex parents, parents who just live together, and parents who are actually married were shocking! What a blessing the Proclamation to the Family is. Thanks to Prophets we have the knowledge we need to find happiness in the journey. I feel the most influential talk for me today was by Uchtdorf. Wow what an awakening for me! I know i will be studying that several times when it is in writing.
Today I must share a recipe for a yummy hot drink. It is called the "Holiday Cleanse Cider," and it is so yummy!
7 cups water
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup pomegranate
1 cup orange juice
1/2 tsp gound cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardimum
pinch ground cloves
Pour water and juices in pot and bring to boil. Add spices and simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. It makes 10 - 1 cup servings, and for those who are doing weight watchers it comes out to be 1 point per cup. It is the cider i drink at least once a day because it is super yummy! If you try it let me know what you think! With the high being in the 50's today i had my share of hot drinks today. Hot coco season is here, and what makes it so much better is having someone to cuddle with!
