Happy New Year!!

I know its well in to the new year (about a month now), but hey better late than never right?! 

We spent Christmas with my family this year and what a fun filled week it was to have everyone home for the first time in a year. Its fun to know that come March we will all be together as well! Any way, we spent New Years with Matt's family this year! That was a fun event as well! Lots of food and games and that just night just kick started the fun filled week we had there! This holiday season was one of laughter and memory making! Matt and I are so blessed to have such wonderful families who take care of us! 

Well, when we got back to Lincoln after our holiday break, we had 3 days to put away our Christmas decorations, buy our books, and prepare for a new semester. We are 3 weeks in now and can say that this is going to be a busy one. Matt is in the spring opera at UNL cast as Prince Charming, and I will be facilitating my first group therapy session with 2 other members of my cohort! Preparing for that along with all my other classes, baby stuff, and studying for the CQE (the test in May that determines if i can continue to practice as a therapy student), this semester is going to fly by!

I am looking forward to all the fun (and stressful) things that are ahead! Another fun thing is we are looking in to renting our first little home! That's right! No more apartment renting! I am done with the smoking, noisy neighbors and having to part clear across the parking lot from our patio entrance... needless to say , i am very motivated to move. Now its just a matter of figuring out where and if we can get out of our lease we will move even earlier than what our lease is telling us. Currently we are checking in to the Anderson's home. I use to nanny for her, her family inherited a farm a couple hours NE of town and moved out there but have struggled to sale their home here in Lincoln, so they offered to rent to us for the remainder of our time in Lincoln! I sure hope it works out because their home is super nice, plus it is nice to rent from people we already know well, and a home that i am already familiar with. We shall see how it all plays out in the next few months. 

Any way, this has been just a quick up date, now i need to get back to the books! Oh but one more thing, i have been on a cooking spree as of late and am trying to document all the things i cook through FB and also Pinterest. Feel free to check them out, comment and try the recipes! I often will add my own spin to them!
