So Much to Say and So Little Time

September 27, 2013

Well everyone... it sure has been a long time since i have written and so much has happened sense then! I am going to do my best to update on everything quickly because I now have limited time.

August 1st while we were still in St. George Utah proved to be one of the most exciting days of our lives thus far! Matt and i discovered that we are expecting our first baby!!! This was a total surprise because of some complications we had the previous month. We didn't have any idea how far along i was at the time and decided to keep it within mom's and dad's. It was such a nice surprise to be able to tell my parents the good news in person! (More up dates on this later on)

The day after we got back from our visit to Utah August 6th, we moved to a new apartment across town. Thank heavens for the missionaries and a couple of friends! We couldn't have done it without their help! Our apartment is much closer to the East Campus where the majority of my classes are and will be for the duration of my program, hence the reason for the move. It is a nice new apartment and looking at it now, we have definitely made it our home. :) Andy loves it here too!

August 18-26 proved to be a fantastic adventure for Matt and I. We were blessed with the opportunity to travel to London England for the week with the choir that Matt sings with at UNL. It was wonderful trip and got to see so many wonderful things! Just to name a few of them:
The London Eye
The Globe Theater
Big Ben
Buckingham Palace
The Tardis
Platform 9 3/4
Kings College at Cambridge
Oxford University (the Great Hall where parts of Harry Potter were filmed)
And a whole lot more!!! We enjoyed all the food we had there as well! So many good things to eat from all over the world! We also go to see some original pictures and drawings from Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, as well as visited a Pub they would frequent together! We also enjoyed a lovey pizza dinner in an upper room that used to be the place Shakespeare would stay when visiting Oxford! Like i said before it was a wonderful trip spent getting to know members of Matt's choir as well as just enjoying being in the UK. All the cathedrals were spectacular especially when the choir sang in them!

So now we get to August 26th, the day we flew home from the UK. School started that day and so we both missed our first day of classes. And can i just say that school has been dictating my life since then. I have no job, and i have no other major obligations in my days, just attending class and studying. And let me tell you... it may sound nice and easy, but it is everything but that!!! It has and still is taking a while for me to get use to it all. This program takes a lot out of you, but i know i can do it with God's help.

On August 30th We went to the Doctor for my first maternity visit! We found out we were 10 weeks along already and couldn't believe it! We got some lovely ultrasound pictures at that point. Today we went in for the second appointment and found the baby healthy and happy and so is the mommy. :) We got lots more ultrasound pictures, most of them with 3D imaging! So amazing the technology they have these days. I am 14 weeks now and in 4 more weeks i will be able to know the gender of the baby! We are so excited and are greatly looking forward to having a new little one in our lives!

One other major change is the fact that my sister Summer moved in with us on September 22nd. She is nannying here the Littrell boys that i nannyed for this past year. She will be living with us till the beginning of May and we hope she can find roommates so she will stick around Lincoln. Its been so nice to have a family member here.

Well, i think that is about all the time i have for updating the blog. I hope to do a better job with it now that i have baby info! So keep reading, great things are to come!!! P.S. any of my readers who want to guess the gender, leave a comment of your guess! I'd love to include you in my gender statistics!
Cheers!
